Hottest Selling Colors of the Season - Teal & Turquoise

If you have been reading my blog lately, you will know that I mention the colors teal and turquoise a lot.  The colors are very hot this year and I can't keep them in stock.  And from the looks of sales, it appears that the popularity of the colors isn't going to go away any time soon.

I joined a networking group on Facebook that has a bunch of the neatest ladies.   The group is called Networking Together and everyone promotes each others shops and blogs.

I thought it would be fun to promote some of their teal and turquoise colored items.  Just click any of the items to go to their sites.  Have fun window shopping, or shopping for real!

If you love the colors as much as we do, be sure to see what else these ladies have to offer!  Just click on any picture and you can go to that item and then follow through to their stores.

Happy window shopping!

How to Find Out Who Pins Your Content

Anyone who is active in social networking knows that Pinterest is a very popular site.  It's fun and is used every day by thousands of people.

Have you ever wondered who pins content from your personal website or blog though?  I know I have.  I just discovered a way to find out.

Use the following URL http://pinterest.com/source/YourSite.com/.

In the place where it says YourSite.com, put in the name of your site.  So in my case it would be the following:

http://pinterest.com/source/collectingvintagejewelry.blogspot.com/

Just a heads up so you don't do what I did for about an hour.  This info only works for websites and blogs.  If it is a store, you have to own the domain. It won't work for your Pinterest page itself or for stores hosted by Bonanza, Ruby Lane. Ebay, Etsy or Ruby Plaza.   It will work if the last part of the URL ends in .com.

However, in Pinterest, at the top right, there is a section that says who re-pinned you.

This will give you an idea of what sort of thing you write about or list for sale and whether it's popularly getting pinned at Pinterest.

My New Hand Picked List at Bonanza

Bonanza is a great place to find all sorts of interesting items.  One of the neat features that the site has is allowing individual sellers to put together "Hand Picked Lists."

Basically, a seller chooses a theme and title and then looks around the website to find items which fit the theme.  I put together a list today called "Teal we Meet Again."  It features a neat range of all sorts of items - all with the color teal.

On the list, you will find everything from jewelry to handbags, to clothing, to beads, to shoes.  The seller who puts together the list is only allowed to promote one of their items.  My item is the first one on the list - a stunning rhinestone runway set in Teal.

If you click this link it will take you to the hand picked list called Teal we Meet Again.  If you enjoy the list, please like it for your Facebook page.   If the list gets enough likes, it may be promoted to a collection which will allow it to be featured on the home page at Bonanza.

Here are a few of the items, just to get your interested:

My Daughter Jess Brings the Latest European Fashion Trends to This Blog

Those of you who have been to my Facebook page know that my daughter Jess has left the US today to travel to Great Britain.  She will be at Hull University studying until about Christmas.

Before she left, I spoke to her about all of the social networking that I have been doing lately on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google + and other sites.  Jess came up with a great idea for my blog and which should delight my readers.

Jess is very interested in fashion and has a really keen eye for what is up to the minute in the latest trends.  She volunteered to do some blog postings for my blog while she is away about the current fashion trends in all parts of Great Britain and Europe.

This should be starting very soon, and I will keep you updated as it all unfolds.  I'm very excited that she wants to help her mom out with the blog and look forward to the insights that she will bring us.

She is an avid user of Pinterest and has several boards there mainly about fashion, cooking and household decoration.  I expect that number to soar and she finds interesting things to add to my blog and to her Pinterest favorites boards.

I'm eagerly awaiting her photos of fashion trends to see how they compare to the ones that are current here in the USA.

Right now she is en route from Washington, DC and will arrive in the UK at noon tomorrow.  Check back soon to see what she has to share.  I, for one, can't wait!

New Store Opened at Bonanza

I have just opened a new store at Bonanza called Jewelry Lane.  The store will feature mainly new contemporary jewelry with an emphasis on rhinestone jewelry, but all types of jewelry is available.

I've only added about 50 items to the store so far but will be adding more every day.  I hope to have 500 or more items for sale in time for the Christmas shopping season.

For those of you who aren't familiar with the site, Bonanza is an online shopping site made up of many individual sellers.

Bonanza is a retail site, which in itself is not unique. However, in many respects,  the items the site offers are. On the site, users can find one of a kind  and new merchandise that is not mass produced and offered at almost every discount store around.

I've spent the last few days adding items and getting to know the ins and outs of the site and I like it very much. Search is very easy and brings up relevant items.  The choices are great and the site has a good community part too.

Join me there soon.  I offer the same great customer service, no matter where I sell, so you can count on great prices, great selections and fast FREE shipping to all US destinations.

Here are a few of my latest offerings:

You can view more details and all of my items in Jewelry Lane's home page at Bonanza.  Hope to see you visit soon!

Do you like Gardening? Check out my new blog

Readers of my blog know that I love to share information and my experiences about vintage jewelry.  But most of you may not know that my other passion in life is gardening.  I just can't get enough of it.

It's been on the back burner for many years as life's demand took the forefront, but has come back with a vengeance this past spring and summer and is here to stay.

I've started writing about my efforts, some great, some not so great, and many quite amusing, in my new blog called The Week Long Gardener.

If you love gardening, or think it might be something you might want to start doing, but sure to have a look at my blog.  It is meant to be light hearted, but will also have lots of tips and tricks about all things gardening.  Perhaps we can share stories and get to know each other better.

You can view the first posting of the my new gardening blog here.  I hope to be able to find the time to write to it quite often.

Off to dig in the dirt!
