500 Enameled Objects by Lark Books Teams with Da Vinci Gallery Exhibition

The Da Vinci Gallery in San Francisco will be presenting "The Enamel Show", from August 5, to September 4, 2009. The exhibition will feature work from the recently published Lark Jewelry book called 500 Enameled Objects.

The book, available on amazon.com, describes the well-deserved renaissance of the classic art of enamelling. It features more than 300 international contemporary artists who have contributed museum-worthy pieces which range from fabulous jewelry pieces to teapots and sculptures.
The Velvet Da Vinci Gallery will be exhibiting pieces featured in the book. The exhibit will be in conjunction with The Enamelist Society Conference which is dedicated to the art of enamelling.

The Gallery website had a viewing of many of the pieces which will be shown in the exhibition. Here are a couple of my favorites:

Miel-Margarita Paredes "Bound"

Angela Gerhard "Fozzy" Bracelets

You can view some of the other enamel exhibits at the Velvet da Vinci website. Wish I could be in San Francisco next month!
